The Hero App

Overview

Selwyn House School uses the Hero app to communicate with families.

Hero

The Hero app provides quick access to information for the parent/caregiver community. Parents/Caregivers can easily:

  • report an absentee
  • View important dates and the school calendar
  • order lunches
  • access the Uniform Shop
  • read Newsbrief (Weekly e-Newsletter)
  • access the Parent Portal
  • receive alerts

Alerts & Emails

The Hero app allows parents and caregivers to receive information and alerts directly to their mobile devices. If you aren’t receiving emails or alerts please contact office@selhouse.school.nz to ensure your details are correct.

Accessing your invoices via Hero

For invoices, we are pleased to confirm we will be using the “live” platform called Hero. This means you will be able to access your invoices online, any time you choose, via the app.

Download Hero App

To view communications from the School and view invoices you will need to download the “HERO by LINC-ED” app 

The app looks like this:

Follow the instructions to set up your account. 

  1. Select “New User”
  2. Request a password link to your email address (use the email address that usually receives school notifications).
  3. You will then be sent a verification email to set up your account and password

The above should take around 2 minutes to complete. 

To view your statements, please click on the finance section. This finance section is live, so whenever you log in, you will be able to see any charges made during the month.
